Understanding Hypnosis: A Bridge to Your Inner Self

Most people spend their lives living in the "noise" of the conscious mind the part of us that worries, overthinks, and stays busy. Hypnotherapy is simply the process of quieting that noise so we can speak to the part of you that actually holds the power to change: the subconscious.

I like to think of it as a bridge. Whether we are using Clinical Hypnosis to rewire a habit or Spiritual Hypnosis to connect with your higher wisdom, we are simply entering a state of focused, peaceful relaxation to find the answers already waiting inside you.

The Truth About Hypnosis

Because of movies and stage shows, there are a lot of myths out there. Here is the reality of what to expect:

  • You are always the one in the driver's seat. You aren't "under my power." You are simply in a deep state of relaxation where you remain fully aware and in total control the entire time.

  • It feels like a guided daydream. If you’ve ever been so lost in a book or a song that you lost track of time, you’ve already experienced a natural state of hypnosis.

  • Your mind is your protector. You cannot be "made" to say or do anything that goes against your values or your will. Your subconscious only accepts suggestions that are helpful to you.

  • You can't get "stuck." Entering hypnosis is as natural as falling asleep or waking up. You can open your eyes and return to the room whenever you choose.
